Take me back
Life was easier in America & Canada.
The 5 week vacation was bliss; even though I was away from my parents, my best friends, my girlfriends & Him. They all made efforts to speak to me every day.
I learned:
- that I cannot be away from my mother
- he means more to me than I ever anticipated
- my girlfriends will always have my back even if I’m half a world away
Now I’m back at University & work; facing 5000 words due in 3 weeks (despite only getting back into semester last week), new training schedules at work, re-structured rosters & chores.
San Francisco has a hold of me now.
It was like no one else existed in the terminal when I saw him at the arrival gates waiting for me.
Five weeks apart can do that.
